It wasn't always like this, though. Way back when typewriters were popular, one couldn't make a single mistake, or the whole page of writing was wasted and had to be redone. This trained the writers to rely on their own speed and knowledge of vocabulary. How is this related to learning? Well, auto-correct is allowing us to relax and let the technology do most of the work, just like google does. This means we care less about correctness, and more about relativity.
